Pier 14 boasts a number of quality facilities to make your shopping experience here as pleasant and easy as possible. Here are our facilities:

Disabled

At Pier 14, we want to make each and every one of our customers’ shopping experience as easy and enjoyable as possible, which is why we are proud to be a wheelchair-friendly centre to assist our disabled shoppers.

All of our stores and bathrooms are wheelchair-friendly and we have elevators from the ground floor to the fourth floor to ensure all areas are readily accessible. The entrance from Govan Mbeki Avenue also has ramps and handrails for ease of entry and Old Mutual has a wheelchair available on the ground floor for use too.

24 Hour Security

Shoppers and tenants can be rest assured when it comes to their safety, thanks to Pier 14’s responsible security team. The security officers are all trained to deal with the public in a professional and friendly manner and to provide shop directions and information.

The shopping centre has 24-hour CCTV and security staff has fine-tuned the correct protocols and procedures for various scenarios and emergencies, such as missing children or in case of a fire.

Parking

At Pier 14 Shopping Centre, customers and tenants can enjoy the luxuries of secure and convenient paid parking facilities, with parking on the rooftop being free for the first 90 minutes.

There are a total of 399 parking bays available:

• 4^th floor rooftop parking: 208 open bays for customers and tenants.
• 3^rd floor parking: 120 undercover bays for tenants only.
• Lavinia Street parking: 71 open bays for customers and tenants.

Public transport

Pier 14 Shopping Centre is situated along the major bus and taxi routes, making it convenient and hassle-free for shoppers using public transport.

Govan Mbeki Avenue is a major arterial route connecting the CBD and industrial areas. Customers travelling from Newton Park and Walmer can also access the shopping centre easily, thanks to its convenient position between Albany Road and Mount Road.

50 metres down the road, you can find one of the city’s main taxi ranks. There is also a bus stop right in front of the shopping centre in the Govan Mbeki Avenue and – not leaving out a single customer – the North End train station is merely a 5 minute walk away.

Gift Vouchers

Finding the perfect birthday present or Christmas gift for a loved one is sometimes not easy. That’s why Pier 14 Shopping Centre has gift vouchers available so that your loved ones can choose a gift of their choice.

Pier 14’s gift vouchers can be bought for the amount of R25, R50 or R100 and they are valid at any store within the shopping centre.

You can purchase the gift vouchers from the centre management offices on the third floor. Please note that gift cards may only be purchased with cash and you must please bring your ID with you.
